A Marine on guard duty taking part in Exercise Green Osprey in Senegal, he is shown in silhouette against the setting sun.


Exercise Green Osprey was a multi-national exercise conducted in Senegal, encompassing maritime and land components conducting riverine operations, a Brigade Recce Force concentration exercise named Royal Chamois, arid mobility training, Civil Military Cooperation work (CIMIC) and a final exercise (FTX).


The nations involved were Britain, Norway, Italy, USA, Spain, Holland and of course Senegal who, on this occasion, are commanded by the Commander Land Forces, Lt Colonel David King Royal Marines.
